Year 6- Kestrels Class
Welcome to Kestrel's class page. We will put information on here about what we are learning about and upcoming events.
January kicks off with the book 'Skellig' by David Almond. We will be reading the book and writing about the characters and the storyline.
Our Science topic is Evolution and Inheritance, before moving onto electricity.
Maths - In maths we will be Looking at ratio, decimals and algebra. We will also be continuing with geometry recognising shapes and their properties.
History - Unheard histories, who should go on a new banknote?
Geography - Where does our energy come from?
Art and Design - Street Art
Design and technology - Designing playgrounds
Computing - Creating media, the history of computers
RE -Do clothes express belief?
PSHE - Health and wellbeing, safety and the changing of the body.
PE - Drumba and basketball

Homework - Please continue to practise spellings at home, read as much as possible and work through the homework books each week. TT Rockstars is also great for keeping on top of those times tables!
